Children Say The Darnedest Things

February 26, 2009

After a recent episode of the popular children's show on Iranian television, 'Uncle Fornaj', I'll bet that Persia's favorite President is thinking the same thing that Art Linkletter used to say: Children say the darnedest things.

During a call-in segment of the show, 'Uncle Fornaj', the host, asked a young female caller if she was a good girl who obeyed her parents. She answered, "I'm a good girl and my father bought me a doll," adding that the doll was a stuffed monkey. "My father calls it Ahmadinejad."

Uh oh...I have a sinking feeling that this little girl's daddy will be making a farewell appearance at his home tonight...

It is generally known that the majority of the Iranian people do not like Ahmadinejad...no secret there...but they haven't made a concerted effort, as of yet, to overthrow the Mullahs...so they are stuck with the crazed puppet-perp until they can dethrone the Mad Mullahs.

The more appropriate stuffed animal would have been a jackass-marionette...with his hoof on the button. But that would have been too obvious, ya think?

As far as the caller: Give that little girl a Klondike Bar...

Bringing 'Honor' To The Queen City?

February 23, 2009

There are many ways to bring honor to your hometown...a great community achievement or success in your chosen career, among them. But amid the myriad ways to bring respect to your city does not include, and here's a no-brainer, brutally slaughtering your spouse...

On February 13th in the Queen City a.k.a. Buffalo, NY, apparently as an early 'Valentine's' gift, Muzzammil Hassan gave his wife a symbol of his 'love' that she'd never forget...her head. Muzzammil, who apparently felt that the constant beatings he gave his wife (which enabled her to get an order of protection against him) were not enough, so he decided to end his reign of terror on Aasiya...and restore his 'honor' by barbarically decapitating her.

Restore his 'honor'? Yup...

If you are unfamiliar with this barbaric tradition, allow me to introduce you to the dishonorable practice of 'honor killing'. According to Yasmeen Hassan, "The Fate of Pakistani Women" (International Herald Tribune, May 25, 1999), Honor Killings are "acts of murder in which "a woman is killed for her actual or perceived immoral behavior." That "immoral behavior" can include refusing to submit to an arranged marriage, marital infidelity, insisting upon a divorce, speaking to a male without permission, failing to serve a meal on time, or 'allowing herself' to be raped.

Most 'honor killings' occur in Muslim countries...but does the Quran sanction this behavior toward women?

The simple answer: Yes.

Islam is a misogynist cult* where women are considered chattel. Men are rulers of women, the Quran asserts...one of hundreds of Islamic rulings that relegate women to subservience by the virtue of their gender. Men are allowed four regular wives and numberless temporary ones, while any woman having liaison with another man is automatically condemned to death by stoning. It's undeniably true that Islamic law is unique in giving divine authorization to certain kinds of abuse of women and children.

Just a sampling from Mohammed's dictates:

"Men are in charge of women..." Qur'an 4:34

"And it is for the women to act as they (the husbands) act by them, in all fairness; but the men are a step above them." (Sura 2:228)

"Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other." (Sura 4:34)

Brutality toward women from the Quran 4:15:

"If any of your women are guilty of lewdness, take the evidence of four (reliable) witness from amongst you against them; if they testify, confine them to houses until death do claim them..."

From the Hadith - Sahi Muslim No. 4206:

"There came to him (the Holy Prophet) a woman from Ghamid and said: Allah's Messenger, I have committed adultery, so purify me. ... And she was put in a ditch up to her chest and he commanded people and they stoned her. Khalid b Walid came forward with a stone which he flung at her head and there spurted blood on the face of Khalid and so he abused her."

Non-accountability for parents who kill their offspring:

A handbook of Islamic law certified by Al-Azhar as a trustworthy guide to Sunni dogma states that "retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right." However, "not subject to retaliation" is "a father or mother for killing their offspring, or offspring's offspring." ('Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2).

Nice...I guess those kids are sleeping with one eye open...

Some women, more recently, were pressured into becoming suicide bombers in order to restore their family's 'honor'. If that's the only alternative, I'd say...family? What family?

Back to Muzzammil...his Bridges TV (founded in 2004 to combat the negative perceptions of Muslims in western media) from its launch, had ties to CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations), the unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case. Bridges' original purpose was to "fuse American culture with the values of Islam in a healthy, family-oriented way." Well Aasiya appeared to be doing just that, but her 'loving' hubby had a problem with it. Because that moderate myth was for Western consumption, and not to be taken literally.

When Aasiya dared to go outside the community and report her husband's abuse, she brought dishonor to him within the community. The only solution? Restore his 'honor' by murdering the source of his disgrace: Aasiya.

So, how is the Eerie County DA charging this heinous husband? With second-degree murder. Unbelievable.

Is this what we as a so-called civilized society will tolerate in the name of religion? Is this example of inequity and barbarity based upon one man's loathsome, misogynistic view (Muhammed), the direction in which our culture should be headed?

I think not. And for the sake of any future Aasiya's, we better redirect our course...because this is the tip of the iceberg.

*Cult - the criteria of a cult is it imprisons its adherents by dictating to them every detail of their lives, and by condemning any member to the death of apostasy for daring to leave its fold.

Kerry: Master Of the Obvious

February 20, 2009

This week, Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and two of his colleagues made a visit to the Middle East.

Their first stop was to missile-assaulted Israeli town of Sderot. Following his visit to the Hamas-battered hamlet, Kerry brilliantly articulated, "What has to change is behavior. What has to change obviously is Hamas's consistent resort to instruments of terror."

Imagine that...terrorists consistently resorting to...terror. Why that's like thieves resorting to...stealing. Or rapists resorting to...rape.

So, Sen. Kerry, what exactly makes a terrorist, a terrorist? His behavior, Einstein.

Numb nuts, like Kerry, are busy stomping their 'carbon footprints' all over the globe to do what? Make asinine statements like terrorist group Hamas consistently resorts to terror?

Isn't it bad enough that these Congressional clowns are robbing us blind under the guise of a stimulus plan...but now they have to spend more of our bucks blathering what a 4 year old can conclude, hoping what the citizenry won't notice what they blather, but how they blather, what they blather.

Enough already...we already have a Jester-In Chief...do we really need more coming out of the clown car?

NOW, Women Want Answers

February 19, 2009

According to their website, the National Organization for Women (NOW) has supposedly been "taking action for women's equality since 1966." Among their activities is the protection of unfettered abortions and the promotion and protection of gay/lesbian rights...NOW also claims to:

OK, here I'm a little confused. Their work to 'stop' violence against women, does that include Muslim women?

Women want answers...

     1. On New Year's Day, 2008, Yaser Said was accused of killing his daughters Amina (18) and Sarah (17) after finding out they had boyfriends (named Eddie and Eric, respectively). Said remains at large.

NOW's comments on the incident...(cricket chirps)....

     2. ON July 6, 2008 police say, a Pakistani named Chaudhry Rashid strangled his 25-year-old daughter San-deela Kanwal with a Bungee cord in her bedroom because she wanted to end her arranged marriage. This "honor killing" came not in Pakistan, but in Jonesboro, Ga. - a suburb 16 miles outside Atlanta.

NOW's comments on the incident...(cricket chirps)....

     3. On Feb. 13, 2009, Muzzammil “Mo” HASSAN, the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, a Buffalo, NY based Islamic television Network he helped pioneer in 2004 amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light, admitted to police that he beheaded his wife, Aasiya Z. Hassan, at the television station. Last month she filed for and received an order of protection against her husband.

NOW's comments on the incident...(cricket chirps)....

So clue me in...why the silence of these heinous violent crimes against women? Don't these women rate, or was that fact that they weren't getting abortions or following the gay lifestyle, eliminate them from the worthiness of NOW's help?

This sham of an organization has pulled the wool over women's eyes for way to long. They have received federal tax dollars for various bogus reasons...and yet legitimate issues concerning women (like Muslim violence) is never addressed. Ok, I'm gonna get mean here...if these insensitive hags cared one iota about their gender, they would haul butt protesting the brutality perpetrated upon women held captive to this barbaric, misogynistic, gutter religion. But the hushed cries of these women are met with indifference.

What an abomination.

This plague upon Muslim women must be on NOW's radar...because we should all hear a blip...not a chirp.

Saluting US Presidents And Their Support Of Israel

February 16, 2009

On this day, that we have set aside as a nation to remember and honor our Presidents, I'd like to salute several of our former leaders for their staunch support of the Jewish State...and some even prior to its rebirth in 1948.

I believe you will be heartened to see their support all the way back to the colonial period:

John Adams (1735-1826)

"I will insist that the Hebrews have done more to civilize man than any other nation." (Letter from John Adams to Thomas Jefferson)

"Farther I could find it in my heart to wish that you had been at the head of a hundred thousand Israelites...& marching with them into Judea & making a conquest of that country & restoring your nation to the dominion of it. For I really wish the Jews again in Judea an independent nation." (Letter to Mordecai Manuel Noah, 1819)

John Quincy Adams (1825-1829)

"I believe in the rebuilding of Judea as an independent nation." (Letter to Major Mordecai Manuel Noah)

Abraham Lincoln (1861-1865)

Soon after the Emancipation Proclamation, President Abraham Lincoln met a Canadian Christian Zionist, Henry Wentworth Monk, who expressed hope that Jews who were suffering oppression in Russia and Turkey be emancipated "by restoring them to their national home in Palestine." Lincoln said this was "a noble dream and one shared by many Americans." The President said his chiropodist was a Jew who "has so many times 'put me upon my feet' that I would have no objection to giving his countrymen 'a leg up.'"

Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921)

"The allied nations with the fullest concurrence of our government and people are agreed that in Palestine shall be laid the foundations of a Jewish Commonwealth." (Reaction to the Balfour Declaration)

"Recalling the previous experiences of the colonists in applying the Mosaic Code to the order of their internal life, it is not to be wondered at that the various passages in the Bible that serve to undermine royal authority, stripping the Crown of its cloak of divinity, held up before the pioneer Americans the Hebrew Commonwealth as a model government. In the spirit and essence of our Constitution, the influence of the Hebrew Commonwealth was paramount in that it was not only the highest authority for the principle, “that rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God,” but also because it was in itself a divine precedent for a pure democracy, as distinguished from monarchy, aristocracy or any other form of government.

"To think that I, the son of the manse, should be able to help restore the Holy Land to its people."

Warren Harding (1921-1923)

"It is impossible for one who has studied at all the services of the Hebrew people to avoid the faith that they will one day be restored to their historic national home and there enter on a new and yet greater phase of their contribution to the advance of humanity."

Calvin Coolidge (1923-1929)

Coolidge expressed his "sympathy with the deep and intense longing which finds such fine expression in the Jewish National Homeland in Palestine."

"The Jews themselves, of whom a considerable number were already scattered throughout the colonies, were true to the teachings of their prophets. The Jewish faith is predominantly the faith of liberty."

Herbert Hoover (1929-1933)

"I wish to express the hope that the ideal of the establishment of the National Jewish Home in Palestine, as embodied in that Declaration, will continue to prosper for the good of all the people inhabiting the Holy Land....I have watched with genuine admiration the steady and unmistakable Progress made in the rehabilitation of Palestine which, desolate for centuries, is now renewing its youth and vitality through the enthusiasm, hard work and self-sacrifice of the Jewish pioneers
who toil there in a spirit of peace and social justice. It is very gratifying to note that many American Jews, Zionists as well as non-Zionists, have rendered such splendid service to this cause which merits the sympathy and moral encouragement of everyone." (Message to the Zionist Organization of America on the Anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, October 29, 1932)

Franklin Roosevelt (1933-1945)

"The American people, ever zealous in the cause of human freedom, have watched with sympathetic interest the effort of the Jews to renew in Palestine the ties of their ancient homeland and to reestablish Jewish culture in the place where for centuries it flourished and whence it was carried to the far corners of the world." (Greeting to the United Palestine Appeal, February 6, 1937).

"I have on numerous occasions, as you know, expressed my sympathy in the establishment of a National Home for the Jews in Palestine and, despite the set-backs caused by the disorders there during the last few years, I have been heartened by the progress which has been made and by the remarkable accomplishments of the Jewish settlers in that country." (Letter to Senator Tydings, October 19, 1938)

Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953-1961)

"Our forces saved the remnant of the Jewish people of Europe for a new life and a new hope in the reborn land of Israel. Along with all men of good will, I salute the young state and wish it well."

John F. Kennedy (1961- 1963)

"This nation, from the time of President Woodrow Wilson, has established and continued a tradition of friendship with Israel because we are committed to all free societies that seek a path to peace and honor individual right. We seek peace and prosperity for all of the Middle East firm in our belief that a new spirit of comity in that important part of the world would serve the highest aspirations and interests of all nations. In the prophetic spirit of Zionism all free men today look to a better world and in the experience of Zionism we know that it takes courage and perseverance and dedication to achieve it.

"Israel was not created in order to disappear—Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom.

"We support the security of both Israel and her neighbors...." (Statement on May 8, 1963)

Lyndon Johnson (1963-1969)

"The United States and Israel share many common objectives...chief of which is the building of a better world in which every nation can develop its resources and develop them in freedom and peace."

Richard M. Nixon (1969-1974)

"Americans admire a people who can scratch a desert and produce a garden. The Israelis have shown qualities that Americans identify with: guts, patriotism, idealism, a passion for freedom. I have seen it. I know. I believe that."

Gerald Ford (1974-1977)

"The United States.. has been proud of its association with the State of Israel. We shall continue to stand with Israel. We are committed to Israel's survival and security. The United States for a quarter of a century has had an excellent relationship with the State of Israel. We have cooperated in many, many fields -- in your security, in the well-being of the Middle East, and in leading what we all hope is a lasting peace throughout the world." (Source: White House Press Conference with PM Rabin, September 10, 1974).

"America must and will pursue friendship with all nations. But, this will never be done at the expense of America's commitment to Israel. A strong Israel is essential to a stable peace in the Middle East. Our commitment to Israel will meet the test of American stead, fairness, and resolve. My administration will not be found wanting. The United States will continue to help Israel provide for her security. My dedication to Israel's future goes beyond its military needs to a far higher priority -- the need for peace. My commitment to the security and future of Israel is based upon basic morality as well as enlightened self-interest. Our role in supporting Israel honors our own heritage."

Jimmy Carter* (1977-1981)

"We have a special relationship with
Israel. It's absolutely crucial that no one in our country or around the world ever doubt that our number one commitment in the Middle East is to protect the right of Israel to exist, to exist permanently, and to exist in peace. It's a special relationship." (Source: The White House, May 12, 1977)

"...I am opposed to an independent Palestinian state, because in my own judgment and in the judgment of many leaders in the Middle East, including Arab leaders, this would be a destabilizing factor in the Middle East and would certainly not serve the United States interests." (Jimmy Carter at the United Jewish Appeal National Young Leadership Conference, February 25, 1980).

(*Note: Now this is before he cracked open his shell and showed us his true colors concerning the Jewish State...just another rotten, liberal peanut.)

Ronald Reagan (1981-1989)

"Only by full appreciation of the critical role the State of Israel plays in our strategic calculus can we build the foundation for thwarting Moscow's designs on territories and resources vital to our security and our national well-being.

"Since the rebirth of the State of Israel, there has been an ironclad bond between that democracy and this one.

"In Israel, free men and women are every day demonstrating the power of courage and faith. Back in 1948 when Israel was founded, pundits claimed the new country could never survive. Today, no one questions that Israel is a land of stability and democracy in a region of tyranny and unrest.

"America has never flinched from its commitment to the State of Israel--a commitment which remains unshakable.

"Israel exists; it has a right to exist in peace behind secure and defensible borders; and it has a right to demand of its neighbors that they recognize those facts. I have personally followed and supported Israel's heroic struggle for survival, ever since the founding of
the State of Israel 34 years ago. In the pre-1967 borders Israel was barely 10 miles wide at its narrowest point. The bulk of Israel's population lived within artillery range of hostile Arab armies. I am not about to ask Israel to live that way again.

"Since the foundation of the State of Israel, the United States has stood by her and helped her to pursue security, peace, and economic growth. Our friendship is based on historic moral and strategic ties, as well as our shared dedication to democracy.

"For the people of Israel and America are historic partners in the global quest for human dignity and freedom. We will always remain at each other's side."

George Bush (1989-1993)

"The friendship, the alliance between the United States and Israel is strong and solid, built upon a foundation of shared democratic values, of shared history and heritage, that sustains the life of our two countries. The emotional bond of our people transcends politics. Our strategic cooperation—and I renew today our determination that that go forward—is a source of mutual security. And the United States’ commitment to the security of Israel remains unshakeable. We may differ over some policies from time to time, individual policies, but never over the principle."

Bill Clinton (1993-2001)

"America and Israel share a special bond. Our relations are unique among all nations. Like America, Israel is a strong democracy, as a symbol of freedom, and an oasis of liberty, a home to the oppressed and persecuted.

"The relationship between our two countries is built on shared understandings and values. Our peoples continue to enjoy the fruits of our excellent economic and cultural cooperation as we prepare to enter the twenty-first century." (Clinton’s reply after Israeli Ambassador Shoval presented his credentials, September 10, 1998).

George W. Bush (2001-2009)

"For more than a generation, the United States and Israel have been steadfast allies. Our nations are bound by our shared values and a strong commitment to freedom. These ties that have made us natural allies will never be broken. Israel and the United States share a common history: We are both nations born of struggle and sacrifice. We are both founded by immigrants escaping religious persecution in other lands. Through the labors and strides of generations, we have both built vibrant democracies, founded in the rule of law and market economies. And we are both countries established with certain basic beliefs: that God watches over the affairs of men and values every human life." (Forward, (September 3, 2004)

"[Israel] is our ally and in that we've made a very strong commitment to support Israel, we will support Israel if her security is threatened." (News conference, February 17, 2005, Jerusalem Post)

"The alliance between our governments is unbreakable, yet the source of our friendship runs deeper than any treaty. It is grounded in the shared spirit of our people, the bonds of the Book, the ties of the soul.

"...My country's admiration for Israel does not end there. When Americans look at Israel, we see a pioneer spirit that worked an agricultural miracle and now leads a high-tech revolution. We see world-class universities and a global leader in business and innovation and the arts. We see a resource more valuable than oil or gold: the talent and determination of a free people who refuse to let any obstacle stand in the way of their destiny." (Speech to the Knesset, May 15, 2008)

It appears that the current administration may have ended this legacy of uncompromised support for our only friends in the Middle East. Their stated goal? To push the 'peace' process harder and further than past administrations. And if this wasn't enough, by executive order (signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4), President Barack Obama has ordered the disbursement of $20.3 million in migration aid to the 'Palestinian' ' refugees' and conflict victims in Gaza. The order allows hundreds of thousands of 'Palestinians', with ties to Hamas, to resettle in the United States. (Why it's every terrorist's dream come true...we're inviting them to come blow us up...why go for a tiny vein [Israel], when you can go for the whole jugular [US]?)

These are not promising signs of our continued support of the Jewish State. And I'm certain that innocent Israelis will be sleeping with one eye open upon learning of our disturbing aid to their enemy.

Our legacy of supporting Jews and the Jewish State is unparalleled in recent history. I pray we never, in practice, betray that heritage.

Shalom.

The Voters Get It, Almost

February 12, 2009

The Israeli election is over...and the lurch was to the right...which speaks volumes concerning security.

The military and diplomat vote still must be counted, but the results, so far, are Kadima 28, Likud 27. But Netanyahu will have an easier time of forming a coalition government because the right-wing bloc won at least 63 out of 120 Knesset seats.

So what does this mean for Israelis?

This means the voters did realize that security was the primary issue in the election...and there is hope for innocent Israelis, and for the War On Terror worldwide...because the parties of compromise do not represent the majority.

The big winner of the night was the conservative Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Is Our Home) party, which despite years of disfavor by the media, became Israel's third largest Knesset faction, behind Kadima and Likud, with 15 seats.

The time could not be more critical...compromise with Israel's terrorist neighbors will lead to collapse and massive innocent casualties. And their collapse will dramatically affect our perception by the Arab world...since Israel is viewed as the 'Little Satan'...and we are viewed as the 'Great Satan'...but appeasement turns us into a Paper Tiger to our enemies...

Will Bibi pull this off...for the sake of the country? I hope and pray...because one more dead Israeli is one too many.

Shalom.

It's All About Security

February 9, 2009

The State of Israel will conduct early elections this Tuesday, Feb. 10th...and the crucial issue facing Israelis is security. One party, clearly in the lead, has declared red lines that must never be crossed in order for Israel to regain and maintain security for its citizenry.

These red lines include:

Israelis want peace...cessation of hostilities...simply put: Security.

Likud, led by Benyamin Netanyahu, has the expertise, talent and wisdom throughout its overall Knesset list to best confront the critical challenges ahead.

The Israeli people, especially those in the towns bordering Gaza, are weary. They have been terrorized for too long, on a daily basis, and the response from the Kadima-led government have been tardy, as well as strangely timed to be in proximity with the upcoming elections. Tzipi Livni, standing in for the disgraced Olmert, also pulled out of Gaza before the work was done, according to experts in the area...because honestly...what were the odds that they finished destroying Hamas' ability to continue committing war crimes against innocent Israeli civilians...just in time for Obama's inauguration? How about 1 in a billion...

And the Labor Party, led by former PM Ehud Barak, is no better on security. They were ready to give away 92% of Judea and Samaria for a 'palestinian' state.

All true peace-loving people worldwide are weary of this tug-o-war between politicians with the innocent being tugee.

Since Sept. 9, 1993 (date of the Oslo Peace Accords), 1,442 Jews have been murdered by their co-called "peaceful partners." Is this what my Israeli Jewish brethren want? Land-for-blood?

Israeli voters...the bottom line is this: It's security first, last, and in-between.

Shalom.

Jihadists New Recruiting Tool: Rape

February 6, 2009

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines recruiting as: to fill up the number of (as an army) with new members. Recruiting is usually done using positive incentives...but terrorists in the Middle East think they have a 'better' idea...

Samira Ahmed Hassim, known as "the Mother of Believers," was arrested for her role in a ring of terrorists who use rape as a method of "persuading" young women to become suicide bombers. Now, I realize to those of us in the West, this is no incentive...but in the Islamic culture, they are able to persuade them to become suicide terrorists as the only means of reclaiming their 'honor', and as a means to escaping the disgrace they would otherwise face in Islamic society.

Hey, nice practice...where can I sign up?

So was Hassim successful at her job? Well, she was able to persuade more than 80 young women to become suicide bombers, and "confessed to recruiting 28 female suicide bombers who carried out terrorist operations in different areas."

But it doesn't stop with women...men are being sexually attacked in efforts to 'coerce' them to the 'cause'.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Algerian terrorist Abu Bacir El Assimi said, "The sexual act on young recruits aged between 16 and 19 was a means to urge them to commit suicide operations." The story explained that the "intense social stigma" connected to homosexual relations and the "fear of more gay sex attacks leaves Muslims prepared to die."

Ya think?

But really...are we surprised by the debauched behavior of these bottom-of-the-barrel miscreants? Whether it's 'the mother of believers' or a local terrorist executive, means little...this disregard and detestation for mankind emanates from the ideology of Islam. Woman and children are chattel to be used for selfish purposes...with no end in sight.

Until we comprehend this, we will be at a loss to wrap our collective Grey Matter around the terrorist mindset...and therefore fall short of our goal of ebbing the tide of destruction meant just for infidels (that's us).

Recruiting via rape? If this doesn't open our eyes...stick a fork in us...we're done!

Shalom.

The New Billion Dollar Words

February 4, 2009

The new 'stimulus' bill, that was passed by the house last week, has what is now some of the most expensive words the citizenry has ever seen...

In the 680-page bill, one will discover 106 uses of the words “except” or “exception," and 560 different "provisions" or "provided thats"...and each one, either alone or in combination, end up costing taxpayers boku bucks...

Here are some examples from the bill:

On page 368:

“Any such subaward with respect to any qualified low-income building shall be made in the same manner and shall be subject to the same limitations (including rent, income, and use restrictions on such building) as an allocation of housing credit dollar amount allocated by such State housing credit agency under section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, except that such subawards shall not be limited by, or otherwise affect (except as provided in subsection (h)(3)(J) of such section), the State housing credit ceiling applicable to such agency.”

And on page 252:

These pols are disgusting. They are on a gluttonous feeding frenzy...and it's all on our hard-earned dough. And their carefully crafted rhetoric is draining the life out of our kids and grandkids...it doesn't get more parasitic than that.

This humongous leach of a bill reminds me of the old idiom: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

My response to this, in light of this bill: Oh yes they can...

Blowing Kisses To Assad

February 2, 2009

President Assad of Syria is excited. He's excited about the prospect of 'positive' dialogue with the US. Now where in the world did he get such an absurd idea?

From our current administration, of course...

Yes, that's correct. Now remember, Syria is one of two countries about which our Senate passed a Resolution (Res. 534) in 2006 stating that it provides financial, military, and political support to Hezbollah. You know, the terrorist organization that has the second most American blood on its hands next to al Qaeda?

Those American casualties include:

So, what would cause Assad to believe that there was even a ghost of a chance of communication to resume with the US? Why it was none other than Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash) from a visiting US congressional delegation.

Smith called the meeting with Assad an "excellent beginning" in relations with Syria. "We are very optimistic in the US with our newly elected President Obama that we have an opportunity for a fresh start in our relations with Syria," Smith told reporters at Damascus International Airport prior to leaving the country.

Now, was that said with or without an AK-47 stuck up his nose?

Let's check a look at what Hezbollah thinks of the US, in their leader's own words:

"We consider [America] to be an enemy because it wants to humiliate our governments, our regimes, and our peoples...It is the greatest plunderer of our treasures, our oil, and our resources. . . . Our motto, which we are not afraid to repeat year after year, is: 'Death to America!' "

--Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, at rally in February 2005

Hmmm...sounds like a warm reception is waiting for us in Damascus...

Has our government lost its collective mind? Why are we all but blowing kisses to Assad? This is a terrorist State, whose thug arm has reached into the hearts of Americans and ripped with all its might. And we want to play Patty Cake with them?

Before I lose MY mind, let me say this...President Obama's desire for all of mankind to heap accolades upon him should not be at the expense of the memory of our *fallen heroes...

Their blood is much too precious to be trampled upon in order to secure reelection...or a legacy.
